Are the 2027 festival dates and location confirmed?
ESSENCE has not announced the official 2027 festival dates or confirmed its location. July 1–5, 2027 are the dates in the Hilton room-block agreement; they are not confirmed festival dates. Check ESSENCE’s official FAQ for updates.
What is the group rate?
The agreement lists $199 per room, per night for July 1–5, 2027. The four-night base total is $796 per room, before taxes and fees.
What taxes and fees are listed?
The agreement lists 17.5% tax plus a $1 per room, per night occupancy fee. Taxes and fees may change; check the hotel's booking page for the final amount.
When is payment due?
The agreement sets May 17, 2027 as the payment deadline for the full balance. Guests using the hotel booking link are not required to prepay when first booking; the hotel processes the balance around May 2027. Follow the hotel’s booking instructions for your specific reservation.
What is the cancellation policy?
For cancellations before May 17, 2027, the agreement says one night's room rate plus applicable taxes and fees is nonrefundable; any prepaid amount beyond that is refunded. For cancellations on or after May 17, the policy is subject to written confirmation from the hotel. Review the terms shown with your hotel booking.
Is there a Ray Travel Vacations booking fee?
A $50 Ray Travel Vacations booking fee applies per request. It is non-refundable even if you cancel and is separate from Hilton room charges. This room request form does not collect payment. Payment terms will be provided before payment is requested.

No. This sends a request to Ray Travel Vacations. Room requests depend on availability, and your room is confirmed only after you complete the hotel's booking process and receive its confirmation.
